FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Quick answers for parents exploring Grow With Us Kids.

What are your operating hours?
6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
How do I enroll my child
Schedule an appointment with office administration so you can receive a full tour and informational session. Once decided, we initiate the completion of the application. At that time, we will submit an enrollment request to ELRC, notifying them of the enrollment. Upon receiving the Enrollment Confirmation from ELRC, they will notify us of your start date, schedule and copay (we are full time center only). If you are a private pay parent, you must make payment for the first full week of enrollment in order to initiate the enrollment application process. All payments (private pays and copays) must be paid on the Friday prior to the week of attendance.
What is the staff to child ratio in the classrooms?
Infants are 4 infants:1 staff. Young toddlers are 5:1. Older toddlers are 6:1. Preschoolers are 10:1. School agers are 12:1
Do staff members have background checks and qualifications?
All staff must complete the following background checks: police records, child abuse clearance, national sex offenders registry clearance, finger prints, and mandated reporter clearance. All staff complete a minimum of 13 hours of trainings upon hire. Our teachers qualifications vary between AA in Early Childhood Education, working towards completing their Early Childhood Degree, CDA (Child Development Accreditation) or have a high school diploma and are enrolled in obtaining their CDA.
Do I need to provide anything
All children need to have a crib sheet, pillow and blanket to dress their cot for nap time. Each child needs 3 changes of clothes available in their cubby. And if they are not potty trained, diapers and wipes are required as well. Anything that you bring MUST BE LABELED.
How often do children play outside?
Children are required to have outdoor play in the playground daily. Parents must dress their children appropriately for the weather.
How do you support each child’s growth?
Every newly enrolled child gets administered the Ages and Stages Questionnaire where both parents and staff complete individually within the first month. Upon completion, parents and staff can compare and contrast their results, each sharing their perspective on the child’s development. Throughout the year, the children receive 3 assessments a year, tracking their development and kindergarten readiness. We use the Ounces Scale for infant/toddlers and the Works Sampling Assessment for preschoolers/Prek.
